The state of Michigan requires Michigan CPL renewal applicants to sign an affidavit certifying that they have completed at least three hours of review of the required training and have had at least one hour of firing range time in the six months immediately preceding the submission of a renewal application.

An Actual Class is NOT Required!

The state of Michigan requires a 3-Hour Review of the required training to obtain a CPL in order to legally renew your license.

Taking an actual class is NOT required.

What can I expect?

We will review the state study requirements for a Michigan Concealed Pistol License Renewal.

The video is laid out in segments - you can watch it all at once or you can log in and out as time allows.

You will have continued access to the video, just in case you want to come back later to review.

There is NO TIME REQUIREMENT for you to complete your training. It just needs to be done BEFORE you renew.

In fact, if you have multiple family members renewing, you can purchase one video for the entire family!

How soon can I do my renewal?

You can complete the renewal training up to six months in advance of expiration of your CPL License.

Is this class valid for ALL Michigan Counties?

Sure is! This training meets, and exceeds, the state requirements for CPL Renewal training.

Will I get a Certificate?

YES! You will be issued a Certificate of Completion for your records. The clerk/state will not ask you to provide it when you apply.

Once you have completed the training simply sign the affidavit on your Michigan CPL Renewal Application stating you have completed the required review of training.

Keep your certificate and receipt for your records.

There is a 1 hour of shooting time requirement as well, an instructor does NOT need to be present. Any range time you have completed in the six months prior to renewal counts toward the requirement.
